Mad Max: Fury Road being nominated as it deserves Hopefully this can continue until the Oscars I'm surprised Brooklyn is in while Carol is not, I thought the former was much more weaker.

I still think Carol can get In, I don't think Sicario is getting In at the Oscars, also have my doubts with Bridge of Spies
I agree on the star wars, this KILLS any chance of Best Pic nom, and rightfully so

Yes, the superior films pull through - rooting for Mad Max, The Big Short, The Revenant. Did not expect Carol would be snubbed like this.

The Carol snub is borderline criminal. AMPAS better not give yet another Todd Haynes film the shaft. Carol is his most accessible film yet.

Ex Machina is a fantastic film holy ****.
I wanted a sequel but the film director explained perfectly why it doesn't need one.

Oop, The Big Short won the PGA.
Now the frontrunner for the Oscar for Best Picture. The BP winner won PGA last 8 years in a row, and their voting methods became more similar after the expansion to more than 5 nominees in 2009.
This would be Brad Pitt's 2nd Oscar as a producer of a BP, after 12 Years a Slave. I wonder if this would make them less likely to give them an acting win down the road...

The Big Short is practically tied with Spotlight for my second favourite BP nominee of the year, and my favourite (Room) has absolutely no chance of winning, so I'd be thrilled if The Big Short won
