britney 1st two albums are like 90+% of her total. considering the state of the music industry, it doesn't matter if Xtina never surpassed britney's total. the point is Xtina's career can last much longer than britney's. Legend X has been outselling britney since 2002 and will continue to do so forever

US:
...Baby One More Time - 11 million.
Oops!...I Did It Again - 10 million.
Britney - 4 million.
In the Zone - 3 million.
Blackout - 1 million.
Circus - 1,8 million.
Femme Fatale - 770k.
Britney Jean - 260k.
Greatest Hits: My Prerogative - 1,8 million.
The Singles Collection - 200k.
Her first two albums do make most of her sales, because of the physical albums sales peak, but she still did quite great for someone who used to get so much backlash by the media and was definitely on top during the last decade. There's a reason why the world revolved around her in 2006-2008.
She's also managed to sell quite a lot with her SOLO singles.

I still like her. I don't believe that, but that is what foolish people believe, unfortunately, and his comment about Kanye was foolish. Just giving him a taste of his own medicine.

Some people are just born a star and that's what she was. I mean, her real freaking birth name is "Britney Spears".
She's very attractive, was a phenomenal performer and entertainer in her peak, she outperformed her peers by miles in that aspect. She wasn't the best vocalist (even this can be argued because she was a terrific singer as a child but she was forced to manipulate her voice for marketing purposes) and all around encompassed what it took to be on top in the entertainment world. She had catchy, ear worm songs, a powerhouse team that expanded her name into a huge brand and on top of it all had a very genuine and down to earth personality which rung well with the general public. She never acted like a bratty diva like some of her peers (sorry Christina) and that made her celebrity persona very appealing.
All the Britney haters on this website like to say "BUT LONGEVITY, BUT LONGEVITY" and honestly I think that making your mark and being above and beyond your peers for a smaller amount of time (5-8 years) is more impactful than being an underdog that's lasted forever. I mean, The Beatles were only together for 7-8 years and they're the most successful act, ever. She was by far the most popular celebrity in the 2000's, not only was her music popular but Britney the person was also just as big. Hence, why her meltdown was such a big event. She all around just kept the general public entertained.
Britney Spears is an entertainment legend and the haters can seethe

Did you miss the shuffle breakdown?
You can try. Britney still moves more catalog units (especially WW) and her overall streams (especially on VEVO) absolutely destroy him. Let's not even get started on the fact that she's actually popular outside of the Anglosphere, too

The only thing you gave me is a distaste for a member I once respected If you want to try the "artis1ic l3gend!!1!" route, at least stan for someone with credibility like Led Zeppelin or something.

The topic of this thread is discussing "How did Britney rule the world?" so coming in here thinking you're clocking with incorrect US receipts is not working in your favour. And on what planet can Christina's career last longer than Britney's when she has been playing second fiddle to her since 1999?
The delusion

I like only using their primary market figures for a few valid reasons, but mostly because soundscan is actually credible.
and her US sales are stronger. I don't make up numbers like you britney stand are known to do.
it's 2015 and Xtina is still a contender in the industry after recently slaying with her multi-platinum hit Say Something.
what can britney do to save her career after further tarnishing it with Pretty Girls?
Xtina is still talented and beautiful. what can britney do?
and that's why you will see Xtina still selling well in 2025 whereas britney will be long forgotten.

On top of that, no other bubblegum pop girls (Christina, Destiny's Child, Jessica Simpson, Mandy Moore, etc.) were selling more than half as much as her WW. Clearly there has to be something more than just the genre.

Destiny's Child does NOT belong in the bubblegum category

We're literally the most accurate receipts thread on ATRL We have three different sets of data present.
Soundscan tracks sales in over 30 countries WW. They're not just a U.S. entity and they're not the only accurate sales measuring entity (nor were they the first).
"Say Something" didn't help Lotus outsell Britney Jean and I'll be sure to post on your wall when B9 outsells C6 next year

So because her US sales are stronger, you'd rather include them to suit your own agenda?
Chile please, X hasn't been selling anything since 2006 and hasn't had a solo #1 hit in nearly 2 decades. You Xtina stans can stay clinging to her features as a way to feed this embarrassing delusion. Britney has actually had a successful album and singles this decade, can still tour and has remained one of the highest paid female pop stars of the last few years. Poor her

It's been eligible for years. 3,024,005 sold through Nielsen Soundscan and MJD estimated 300k through club sales.

source? or are just making things up again like you britney stand are known to do.
and lotus did outsell bj, and was a different era from Say Something. she was stunning/marketable in SS. one of the main reasons why Britney's career is over is because she can't look close to as good as she used to be.
c6 will outsell b9

ATRL told me talent always wins, so I believe that was the case here as well.
