But I see the similarity in style. They both have big soulful gritty voices and sing about heartbreak. I'd love a duet.

Honestly, they're both absolutely great, but Adele is definitely not the British Mary J. Blige, especially if we're supposed to compare the gravity of Adele's success to Mary's success since they're in different lanes of music.
