Dan is a genius. He produced this and Ultraviolence

I think the 2nd half is not as strong as the first but many albums are guilty of this!
Cry Baby: Kind of an overused title this year, ain't it? A little bit weak as an album opener, and perhaps one of the weakest in the record, but still a good song.
Mess Around: A stellar track, no wonder it was the lead. Love the retro spin to it. Would've been a great opener
Sweetie Little Jean: As pop as they will ever get (well...Cigarette Daydreams aside). I love this one
Too Late to Say Goodbye: Could be in the soundtrack for a police 1960s thriller. Good stuff
Cold Cold Cold: Eh, it's nice, but not a standout track
Trouble: One of the best tracks. Keeping up that nostalgic mood
How Are You True: I like it quite a lot but damn this album is so bleak, rather than energetic like their other albums. Their Ultraviolence indeed
Punchin' Bag: Okay finally another upbeat track.

Portuguese Knife Bag: A witty title and good song, though maybe Cold Cold Cold should've neen the closing track
I love this a lot cause they can't do wrong

But it's not their best I think. Even though I skip a couple songs in Melophobia, their highs are just superior. Gotta love the cohesiveness in this one though. Thank You Happy Birthday is great too.
As of now all I know is that it is not their best but it's all I'm listening to this week
