In the US only and prior to windows 10. Everything post win7 has been a mess but let's see how these figures prevail year round now that surface 4 and Windows 10 are in the horizon.

Desktops sell next to nothing, and the US has over 50% of the worldwide marketshare when it comes to tech. It's a fairly large indication.

And Windows now resorting to being free is winning how? Last time I checked, they are losing millions to try and compete with Apple, and relying on the Surface to get some coins, which it isn't.

Yes it's about the first half of this years revenue in the U.S. only of laptops.

Revenue means money made. Macs are like 3x more expensive than Windows. That means that Windows could sell 15M computers and Macs could sell 6M and have more revenue. Keep in mind, these are computers, not a pop artist's tour.

One Company with 5 different models raised more revenue than the entire rest of the industry
Revenue or not, Apple win. And there are premium PC's more expansive than Apple's as well.

Also, desktop sales are next to nothing as people buy parts nowadays.
