Fixed the op

The album had a lot of potential, and she talked a lot about it before the album came out. I just don't understand why all of a sudden she doesn't seem to care about it anymore

i think its a shame because the album had a lot of potential. all she really needed was the right single choice and a taylor swift cosign and the single would've probably gone top 10

Thing is, that album could've actually been more successful, people are here for her, first week sales were surprisingly decent. Oh well. Coulda, woulda, shoulda.

She should've promoted more, the album had many potential singles.

Still the best album of the year for me and that's all that matters to me.

That's the part that boggles my mind the most. She talked about it for like a year and a half and seemed genuinely excited, but once it was released, she only promoted it for about a week.

I don't know but I have feelings that they decided to not promote it already when 'Sparks' came out and it didn't have success like the singles released last year, then they released the album because was done but I think they were expecting a lower result (indeed there were a few copies available in the stores).
So after that they saw that Hilary has still potential maybe the next era will be better, I hope.

Justice for Sparks, My Kind, One in a Million, and Baby Don't Lie

She was excited when she released her first 2 singles but they flopped because we let them. So they had her record some dancey pop songs she probably wasn't AS interested in instead of the clear folk pop sound she had originally. Oh well.

Ha lotus era

Sparks actually had better longevity than the other two singles in all aspects except for Hot 100 peak position and YouTube plays. It was significantly more consistent on iTunes and only recently fell off. Sparks also did not go for Pop radio adds so it was a bit mind-boggling that the little airplay on HAC was carrying its sales when AAY had a bit more on Pop.

Basically. At least her first week was good.
