Oh now bitch I know you archeologists KEEP trying it with Mariah, but ya really need to close that coffin up pretty soon on your dusty fave. You fave hasn't written anything meaningful in about 15 years. Am I supposed to sit and do some pushups in honor of your faves gratesque arms because she wrote a song called"Bitch I'm Madonna"? All the while Mariah puts her soul into each song and turns out amazingly written greats like "outside" and "cry" and "petals" and the list goes on and on.
Madonna's atrocious songwriting is part of the reason why she always tries now to get more relevant artists to come along and dust off her **** and add stuff to her flop songs.

How did this turn into a Madonna x Mariah is beyond me, tbh
Mariah definitely shouldn't have been snubbed, she's a great songwriter . But, wth has Madonna got to do with it ??? ( X 2 ) .
I mean, the fact RS snubbed Mariah has nothing to do with Madonna being picked for position #56 ( X3)
Jeez , some people are so immature.... I can't
And lastly, people complaining about Mariah
Mariah is acclaimed as a vocalist, but her songwriting is not acclaimed at all and rightly so, its just basic, bland, kitschy cheese.
This tragic generalization is exactly why critics should never be taken seriously when talking about Mariah It's like they've all only heard Dreamlover and Hero
Still waiting for Madonna to serve anything as lyrically masterful as Butterfly, Breakdown or The Roof

Without stepping over anyone else on the list, Mariah really does deserve to be on the list. Anyone who has listened to all/most of her discography would know this. It's tragic and it seems like Rolling Stone really doesn't like her based on other stuff they've written.
