I think Britney's are more iconic and memorable (Slave, BOMT, Oops) but Rihanna has more (Love The Way You Lie, Umbrella, We Found Love, Only Girl, What's My Name, Diamonds, Stay etc)
It depends. Britney has songs like '...Baby One More Time', 'Oops!... I Did It Again', 'Toxic' or even 'Gimme More' that are more remembered that 99,8% of Rihanna's hits. I guess that makes them bigger? But then again Rihanna is the hit girl at the moment, anything she puts out will be a hit. Nonetheless, let's be honest, besides 'Umbrella', it's hard to think of a real iconic song from her.

??? Rihanna's biggest hits are still relatively recent, how could this ever be the truth? People do NOT remember those songs more than WFL, for example.
This is actually really tough. Both girls slay in terms of hits.
I think Britney's are MUCH bigger (mostly) and more iconic (BOMT, Slave, Oops!, Toxic, Womanizer), but Rihanna has far more. And she especially has more in the last era. Then there's here features too.
The question is about BIGGER hits rather than MORE big hits, though, and BOMT/Oops! are bigger than Riri's (incredibly successful) career, so I think I'll give the slight edge to Britney on this
ALOT of Rihanna's songs have a poor airplay to sales ratio. Whats My Name sold less than Till The World Ends And none of her songs are top tier selling, I think WFL is only 5xPlatinum when there are songs from that time that are 6-7xPlat. Had the digi era always existed, BOMT, Oops and Toxic would actually be top tier selling songs.
Yeah that's true. Britney can't even get a single past 3.6 million in the states (the biggest music market in the world) let alone close to 7 million like Riri with LTWYL.

Meanwhile Scream & Shout and Till The World Ends was bigger than Love The Way You Lie
