Boston’s Olympic bid is dead. Two sources confirmed to Boston.com that the city will no longer bid for the 2024 Olympics. Earlier Monday, Boston Mayor Marty Walsh said he could not commit to signing a host city contract for the 2024 Olympic Games, against pressure from the United States Olympic Committee.

Boston's an amazing city, y'all need to keep it on mute. Anyways, dropping the bid was a good idea - I know a lot of people were against it and they were concerned about the congestion it would bring to the city. Boston's already a MAJOR hub, bringing the Olympics to that would basically be asking for chaos.

Boston's a beautiful city that fuses metropolitan flair with the history laden elegance of New England. USA should be HONORED to have Massachusetts represent the country as opposed to some backwater resistant state like Tennessee.

The Olympics in Atlanta was one of the most profitable Olympics in history. In made the city better. So were the Salt Lake games. The US isn't like Greece in this aspect.
