When I first joined everyone was dragging Britney & Britney Jean & Praising BEYONCE. Lorde was really popular here. Bey & Katy were probably the most praised.
Mid 2012? Lawd I don't even remember, maybe Lady Gaga starting the BTW tour. Madonna releasing MDNA. Justin Bieber in his Believe era. That's all I can think of right now
Don't remember because I rarely posted for like my first two years on ATRL.

Ke$ha announced the title of her new single 'Die Young' at the VMAs.
Rihanna was releasing a new single (Diamonds).
Brandy begging fans to buy album on 106 & Park.
'We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together' was #1, and the next month her album debuted with 1.2M.
Nicki was soon releasing Roman Reloaded: The Re-Up.
Alicia Keys released Girl on Fire,
Pink also got her first #1 album w/ The Truth About Love.
X-Factor was about to start, and Britney was the judge, and all her stans had avatars of her promoting it.
Rih, Katy, Gaga and Adele were all dominating [Taylor too probably but who really cares?]
Bey was being dragged to smithereens by the navy, monsters and some Katy fans bc of "4lop" or "4closure"
a lengthy Britney vs. Bey thread every single day. After the VMAs, It escalated to the point where fans would invade each other's bases to fight and it'd end up in NHB or SYG. [One time Britney got dragged for 3 days straight. it was awesome]
TTT came out and didn't go #1 after the smash that was WFL and the hive & co went in in SYG.
There was also A LOT of user drama bc NHB existed.
I think Monsters used to be even more cocky back then cause Gaga was smashing though I rarely came to this site back then. I became active around 2014, everyone went crazy over that Beyoncé visual album
Beyonce's surprise release
the DWUW video not being out
DWUW (feat. Legend X) being uploaded on iTunes 3 weeks late
Britney Jean sliding down the charts with no subsequent single in sight
