I don't want to be that guy, but like... Trans people's issues and obstacles are specific to them, conflating gay acceptance with trans acceptance by using "LGBT" when trans people are not involved is extremely insulting to all parties.

How black people can be against equality confuses me..

Hispanics are doing very well though...

People will look back on the "gay marriage debate" and think it was the biggest waste of political debate and tax dollars. The idea that people can oppose it - and the degree their hatred gets...it's just plain stupid.

In the Netherlands we're at 90% acceptance
Glad it's getting better every year in the US as well

Acceptance is the key to be truly free.

and stop pretending you're concerned with insulting trans people when this is really motivated by your not wanting to be associated with them

Sexual and gender minorities still face many of the same issues, and their opposition stems mostly from the same source (religion and misogyny). People are far more likely to be in favor or in opposition to both unlike people would with race or sex.

All sexual and gender minorities still have to face "coming out of the closet", heavy stigma, hate crimes, discrimination, etc. The specific issues sexual minorities and gender minorities have to face are obviously different, but they share a lot in common. And, honestly, I don't know how successful trans people and other gender minorities would be in fighting for their rights if they didn't also fight under the LGBTQ "umbrella".

Posts like these is why we need a study on how accepting LGBT are of each other.
