When I first heard of Tori Kelly it was friend telling me about how talented she was vocally and I thought she was just another vocalist who doesn't create her own songs or play instruments. Boy was I wrong!
She's just as incredible of a songwriter and musician as she is a vocalist. A well-rounded artist.
This album is absolutely fantastic! Really well written and composed Pop/R&B/Soul music. And just like my friend said, can't fault her vocals either. But I'm glad she's much more than that too.
Unbreakable Smile. Expensive, Talk, Funny (Live) and Anyway, are for me, the best songs on the album. Really sophisticated and sonically interesting and dynamic. I'm so glad I decided to take a chance on her.
Shout out to Max Martin who did an amazing job musically and vocally producing this entire album. Not just a pop-hitter after all eh?!
