He is NOT the media's golden gay boy.

He was obvious on American Idol and made it to top 2 and had a decent career after it.

Despite Adam's rather limited success, I do think that he played a very important role in increasing gay visibility in the music industry, and that he has a number of accomplishments to his name that make him an important figure in discussions of LGBT+ celebrities. And I do think that he helped make it possible for other LGBT+ artists to be out and open about their sexuality, which I feel was rather rare in previous times.

Is Adam Lambert known outside of the US and places like ATRL?

He wasn't bisexual. His only "relationship" with a female was with Mary Austin who had a strong friendship with while he slept with hundreds of men. Even Mary said so.

He suffered from deep self loathing and he was even ashamed of his ethnicity.

Adam Lambert has absolutely no legacy.

He hasn't even sold 2 million albums in the U.S. His biggest single has sold less than 2 million and it accounts for about half of his career single sales.

His U.S. record sales are lower than Elton John's "Candle In the Wind/Something In the Way You Look Tonight's" U.S. single sales

This notion is so disrespectful to gay artists that actually broke barriers before him.

Because he is doing it just for press now that he has a single out, is the only way he can get attention because he has no career anymore he is trying now that he has seen that artists like Sam Smith are being accepted and embraced in pop culture, but it's because of his music.

And what Adam is doing is pathetic trying to expose people in the media, and I doubt he can get A listers since he is not even a b lister

Freddie was already popular when he came out and same as Boy George and George Michael. They were already successful.

At least Adam isn't a self loathing gay like Sam Smith is. trying to tone down who he is just to be successful.
