Most of the time they're meh or annoying, but sometimes when I see a hot guy with a really southern accent that makes him sound dumb af, I find it sexy.

Nah bro, they're more like a warning signal. You can hear that nasally, loud and annoying accent 3 minutes before you see the American, giving you enough time to gather your belongings and leave the space they're soon to occupy.
