I think they mean the general American accent. You know the ones you hear on the news.
I've always wondered what people thought of our accent. I imagine it's quite boring in comparison.
I have as well. I wish I could somehow listen to my own accent and accents from other regions of the US from a non-US born/raised perspective. I think the closest I'll ever get to it is this:
