Right?

EVERYTHING was "It was God's plan". Didn't get into the college you wanted? God has different plans for you. Won the lottery? God wanted you to have the money. Met your spouse at a bar? God put you two there.
So annoying and illogical how people assign any event as part of "God's plan" when it's either coincidence or something you did to cause it. I think people just don't like taking responsibility when it's something bad and like the comforting thought of it being a higher power if it's something good.
I know my grandma on my dad's side will say that God had different plans for me when I tell her I didn't get into the colleges I wanted and it'll take everything within my power not to clock her
