Life is essentially one massive equation with millions of variables. Why would one great creator map out every single event in 7+ billion people's lives? Why would he care?

I guess our disagreeing opinions are the crux of the whole debate. It's really theological thing. Some things you will only accept if you follow a certain faith. I can't convince you if you don't believe the same thing I do.

But I can explain what I believe!
That's a huge generalization of all the world's happenings, Haus. No, our failures and our misfortunes are not always our faults or due to our own errors. I'm sure you can name countless events in your life that simply did not go your way and were totally out of your control. There are plenty of people in the world who are unsuccessful despite being excellent at whatever they do. I don't think a belief that some things are and are not 'meant to be' is a cop-out or an excuse at all. Humans are not all-powerful...but that's because of my belief and how I think. Like I said, you probably won't agree with me.
Why would one great creator want to plan out 7 billion lives? In the Christian faith, God loves and cares deeply about each and everyone of us. Christianity does not claim that everyone's life goes according to God's plan, because some people just flat out reject that plan. Christianity just claims that God wants certain things to happen, allows some things to happen (even if he does not want them to
sometimes), and completely prevents other things. Again, that is my belief system, which you don't have the same one. So you're not gonna get with this but that's ok!
