Hollywood avoids authentic casting of even when there are actual minority characters based on a historical figure or a certain subculture in the script so how is even expecting minority actors to be cast in race neutral roles?

All of Shonda Rimes' successful shows have ethnically diverse cast members in all roles.
Fresh off the Boat, Black-ish, Empire, etc are all huge leaps in terms of ethnic programming

You do realize Asian Americans in particular have little to almost no representation in mainstream media though? And that of those representations they are almost always built on stereotypes? Perhaps you should examine the types of media you consume closer, and perhaps open your mind to gain awareness on why this is an issue.

Most of America is white and they would relate more to characters that looked like them, thus more likely to want to see the movie. It comes down to money, pretty simple.
