The angels were cast PERFECTLY, drew barrymore, lucy liu and cameron diaz were all PERFECT
and both movies did make a profit.
I'm so sad there was never a third because these are some of my fave all time movies.

but these days I think, that if there was ever a plot for a third they should make it like

: its set in the future, obviously cause they are older now, and charlie needs to call back his best angels for this really hard mission or something and we get to see what they are all doing now i mean I was always so sad dylan never got a happy ending at the end of full throttle like alex and nat had their partners aw </3

( also, I kind of want to contact the directer, McG, columbia pictures who produced it or whatever and the girls about a third one/Reunion kinda thing and even if i got a response i would be so happy, anyone have any idea how to get in contact with the director/ the others/would like to help?)

Either the angels werent wanting too, management not wanted too or the demand wasnt there

Plus they did remake it on TV and it was pretty awful

Full Throttle's poor domestic performance coupled with the troubling reviews likely ended any chance for a third film. Law of diminishing returns.

The sequel was positioned as a tent-pole for Columbia and given a prime summer release date. There was a huge marketing blitz at the time (it even had a Superbowl spot), as well as a main pop girl (Pink) on the soundtrack single. Despite all of this, CA2 barely scraped by $100 million in the US. All parties involved were expecting much more (an increase from the original's $125 million at the very least).

Having said that, it might be worth revisiting the idea of a third film, or even a reboot. The international market has expanded exponentially since 2003 and there is still untapped potential in this franchise. A reboot could do gangbusters if they could somehow manage to sign actual A-listers (Lawrence, Stone, Woodley, etc...)

wasn't the 2nd one considered a flop? Especially compared to the 1st which was a huge hit. Also I think Cameron Diaz's salary expectations went up really high so it was hard to afford her, back then she was the highest-paid female actress in Hollywood I believe.

That's what I think. If they were to do a 3 it would do a lot better these days now movies fair better now. Charlie's Angels 2 had to make a profit from international grossings however I think a 3 would fair better in the U.S and make much MUCH bigger profits from international markets.
As for a reboot with new girls I think it would do better than a third but I want a third with cameron drew and lucy

Lawrence/Stone/Woodley would be great for a reboot.

I saw both in theaters. I completely loved both films. (Full Throttle being my favorite) I really wish they had made a third one. It would have been a great trilogy.
