I would love a Charlie's Angels 3!! The first two movies were amazing, and there was such a connection and chemistry between the three girls! They need to make a third movie!!
wasn't the 2nd one considered a flop? Especially compared to the 1st which was a huge hit. Also I think Cameron Diaz's salary expectations went up really high so it was hard to afford her, back then she was the highest-paid female actress in Hollywood I believe.

I'm sure they'd be willing for another 90 million budget, they might even cut it down to 80m, when they'd get (judging from the first two) over 200m worldwide. However they'd get more now as the international market has expanded.

That's from the international box office. Domestically it underperformed, as someone said previously, and the $120 mil is the production budget. Factoring in marketing+promotion costs, distribution lines and of course the fact that the cinemas keep roughly 50% of the ticket sales, a movie would have to gross approximately 3 times the production value to be considered a successful return on investment.

Factor in all the merchandise, dvd sales which were big back then, dolls, video games ect and that would narrow that gap a lot

But in order to create those, there would AGAIN be another cost and they would have to share the profits with the places that make the dolls, the video games, the merchandise, the licensing, etc. The movie studio would barely see anything back for their own movie.
