she was great in the air i breathe, too, but the movie was kind of a mess unfortunately. it had a nice concept, but the execution was rather amateurish. (almost the same as southland tales. but i loved ****star sarah )

and i think i am in the minority when i say that i also enjoyed the return. it had such misleading marketing and it was recut by the studio after the original director edited it into a hitchcockian psycho-mystery--which the studio thought audiences weren't into... well, it's a bummer cause i would have really liked to see the director's vision. anyway, i still enjoy it for what it is.

And yeah The Air I Breathe was amateurish however Sarah's performance was really amazing as the sad pop star. And yeah The Return was a confusing mess however it's good for what it is.

It's coming to select theaters so i'd love to be able to see it on the big screen. I have only seen a few SMG movies in theaters so this one is a must. And it's getting a lot of promo and rave reviews as of now. Sarah is getting praised for her role which i'm very happy about.

i think i preferred ringer's first half to the second half. the show could have been amazing, but there were so many behind-the-scenes changes made to it that it ultimately hurt the show a lot. and it showed. the story was spread out to 22 episodes but the concept was for a 12ep season... the whole juliette-teacher-rape-wild-things thing was so lame, the "reveal" of who planned a hit on siobhan was really blah... and the execution itself was too CW-ish... and i'm not into those shows at all.

it had potential to be this amazing, mysterious film-noir show. really fresh and new. i loved the original pilot script. but the move to the CW came with too many changes. it would have been much better on HBO or showtime.

i'm still mad that her show the wonderful maladys only got a pilot. THAT show could have been AMAZING! the script was great.



deservedly so! she was great in it. i'm glad to hear it's getting rave reviews! i think paulo coelho himself said that SMG depicted the veronika he had imagined when he wrote the book, and that her performance brought tears to his eyes when he saw the first cut. that's really cool.

unfortunately not there's only the screenplay (which the writer specifically wrote with sarah in mind--there are some parts where he refers to her not by her character name alice, but sarah :P) and some paparazzi pix from shooting in NYC.

it's weird that the pilot never saw the light of day.
