100 ˇ AMERICAN AUTHORS, "Best Day Of My Life"
Weeks on Chart: 2 Weeks
Peak Position: #14
Debut Date: April 19, 2014
Kicking off the Top 100 is countdown newbie American Authors with the anthemic "Best Day Of My Life". The song garnered significant air plays this year but I never paid attention to it. Not only when a friend bugged me about the title of this track. Then I realized it's a decent pop-ternative bop.
♫ "I hear it calling outside my window. I feel it in my soul. The stars were burning so bright. The sun was out 'till midnight. I say we lose control." ♫

99 ˇ BEYONCÉ, "Partition"
Weeks on Chart: 3 Weeks
Peak Position: #13
Debut Date: April 26, 2014
Beyoncé appears again on the list with the interesting "Partition". Among all the releases off her latest effort, this one took the most plays before I finally enjoyed it. The song is a fusion of different vibes as the song progresses. Interesting yet forgettable. Sadly, I am not enjoying this era much as others do.
♫ "Take all of me. I just wanna be the girl you like, girl you like. The kinda girl you like is right here with me." ♫

98 ˇ KIESZA, "Giant In My Heart"
Weeks on Chart: 2 Weeks
Peak Position: #12
Debut Date: September 20, 2014
Sitting pretty at #98 is another Top 100 rookie Kiesza. I first came across this lady when "Hideaway" topped the UK Singles Chart some time this year. The lead single was just okay for me. Then, she released this smash follow-up with crazy synthpop beats coupled with lovely vocals. Definitely worth a spot in the Top 100.
♫ "What's the point of going through all the pain I'm in with you? What am I supposed to do? In my heart, there's only you." ♫
2013: TAYLOR SWIFT, "Red" |

97 ˇ KYLIE MINOGUE, "Into The Blue"
Weeks on Chart: 3 Weeks
Peak Position: #14
Debut Date: February 15, 2014
It's been six long years when Kylie graced the Top 100 with "Wow". This year, she comes back to the list with the moderate hit "Into The Blue". I admit it's not one of those Kylie tracks I dig big time, but it's pretty decent. Kind of takes me back to the Fever era.
♫ "When I got my back up against the wall, don't need no one to rescue me. 'Cause I ain't waiting up for no miracle. Tonight I'm running free." ♫
2013: SAMANTHA JADE, "What You've Done To Me" |

96 ˇ KATY PERRY, "Birthday"
Weeks on Chart: 5 Weeks
Peak Position: #11
Debut Date: May 10, 2014
It's quite unusual to see Katy Perry charting in the very bottom half of the Top 100 but I guess we have to. The "Prism" era didn't get me completely. "Birthday" is definitely one song you'll love at first listen, but it sounded generic compared to her previous efforts. It was originally part of the wannabes, to be honest.
♫ "We're living the life. We're doing it right. You're never gonna be unsatisfied." ♫
