Nicki Minaj finds it corny when men don't support her or listen to her music and don't **** with her because she's a woman and they don't wanna seem gay.
In this insightful interview Nicki said men should not feel threatened by complimenting her and it does not "make them a barb or something." She says that "You're not gay if you think Nicki Minaj is an ill rapper." She says she's always had an issue with this. She said it upsets her when men feel it's only justified to listen to her if a dude is on the song so that they don't need to rap her (a woman) lyrics. She also chastises the male DJ for mostly playing songs by her that are with guys.
It's such a double standard because most girls listen to male artists MORE then female artists but men tend to go out of their way to avoid female artists and not listen regardless of talent so they don't seem feminine or gay. I think that's why a lot of female artist struggle to be taken seriously because TONS people are writing them off from the jump

Are you telling me there aren't tons of girls who sing along to Chris Brown, Drake or other male artist? They have no problem rapping/singing along to these men talking about women in a very sexual way. If you're secure in your sexuality i don't see why it would make you uncomfortable.
