Cardiac arrest is apparently the reasoning for one of the deaths

To die in fear like that. Just awful

this is what happens when Muslims in the world cannot loudly speak out that ISIS is not recognised as a part.of Islam and condemn people who support it as kafir or not Islam. In my country, the government and religious leaders don't even take a bold stance on it, and the number of ISIS supporter is growing smh.

That's really just so so sad to me. I have a lump in my throat reading that.

Innocent lives lost is always sad, and of course being shot is awful. But imagine being so scared for your innocent life that you go into cardiac arrest. Awful.

oh f, this is so frightening. Hoping that it is fake and for those who made this just to scare people better get their life back on track.

Yeah but even still there were never facts that it was the ISIS, only a fear filled crappy media putting the idea that it was a Islamic related attack into the public's minds. If you live in Australia I would hope that you are getting your information on the situation from a reputable news outlet such as the ABC who have only been using facts and haven't been making up stories to get headlines

I don't imagine that the NYE thing is true, rumors would've been circulating about that surely all of that was happening,

I'm just saying, people on the streets were saying it was an ISIS flag. And a lot of that info would have been spread across the people on the building which is where that poster would have heard the information.

There's actually been a lot of support for Muslims at the moment. Thousands of people are reaching out to Muslims in order to make sure they are safe.

Of course, some people will stay being closed minded but the majority of Australians are reaching out,

I've been very impressed with how Australians have responded to Muslims in light of this awful situation

I didn't see the woman from the first video (polka dot outfit) exit. I think she may have died.

There's several injured people inside still, also a rescue van is collecting the rest of the hostages.
Who knows who has died. I'm hoping no more than the one is confirmed dead, are announced

So sad for the one death that's being reported, but also glad it wasn't worse. Gunman got what he deserved, may he rot along with the other extremist vermin.

Also, desperately hoping the rumours going around about New Years in Sydney are untrue.
