Michelle Obama dragged by children; "F you Flotus"
School lunches have never been known for being appetizing — but these ones are particularly disgusting.
Students across America are taking it to social media to demonstrate against the school meal rules championed by First Lady Michelle Obama.
They're using the sarcastic hashtag 'ThanksMichelleObama' and posting pictures of piles of mushy lunches, unreasonably small portions and the kind of fare that has some students saying even
'prisoners eat better food.'
Leave it to a bunch of ignorant high schoolers and ATRLers to not realize that it's the school districts that choose the food. Michelle just headed the initiative to strengthen the nutrition guidelines. The schools are just serving this garbage to their students because they don't want to spend any more than they did on the processed junk they used to buy. Everyone knows healthy food is more expensive than the processed stuff.
Just like with Obamacare, the Obama's are trying to help the general public, but these school districts are finding loopholes to the new rules. The students are getting screwed but it is not at the hands of Michelle.

If she didn't push for this policy, people would still be able to get Lays, pizza and French fries in cafeterias.

Public schools always try to serve meals under the guideline for the cheapest amount. There needs to be an emphasis on responsibility of the school district, and parents of kids need to be speaking up to the high ups in the school district.
Um, then like I said - remove the freakin' guidelines. Let them serve pop, tater tots, French fries, chips, Saltine crackers, chicken nuggets.
I guarantee you the kids would be sending Mrs. Obama messages of thanks.
That's irresponsible. School lunches across America are the only meal of the day for many kids. Michelle is trying to make sure our kids are growing up healthy. It's a problem when every year, more kids in America have high cholesterol and get Type 1 diabetes before they're even adults.
Back in the 80's it was "I believe the children are our future, teach them well and let them lead the way"
but that generation did nothing with what they were taught
