Individual Hints:
1. The topic can come across a bit hackneyed in this post-Degrassi world we live in, but I still find it original enough, probably because of the specific details that elevated it a bit. Don’t use filler words because it’s very clear to me that you’re trying to assist your stunted rhythm by forcing words in.
2. The sense of excitement was palpable. Every verse isn’t unique enough to warrant including all 1,000 of them.
3. This was a good start to a song. I like the mood you create here... Some of the phrases felt forced.
4. I really liked the sense of movement you created through your diction... I think the first two lines are clunky.
5. This entry relied almost entirely on the message and didn’t have enough sharp, memorable lyrics to elevate it.
6. You certainly interpreted the theme in an interesting way and I like your macro level thinking, but it comes at the expense of the lyrics.
7. The best part of this song is the title. The worst part—aside from the repetitive chorus, sloppy rhythm, and awkward inauthentic tone—is that a lot of the lyrics are nonsensical.
8. While the subject matter is admittedly silly, this song actually uses a ton of clever rhyming and has great rhythm and flow.
9. I think the verse and pre-chorus are stronger than the chorus... Comparing your score this round to your score in round 1, you may be getting the ‘Most Improved’ award.
10. For its many strengths, there were some clunky lines/phrases.
11. I thought this was a good interpretation of the theme. My biggest fault is that the song didn’t have a ton of movement... The bridge upped the urgency with all that oral sex imagery, but otherwise, it felt static.
12. I liked a lot of this entry, though it feels too long. You can cut out like 25% and still retain the same meaning/feeling.
13. I liked your chorus and the bridge, but the verses weren’t too exciting.
14. This song felt like it fit the assignment almost TOO much. It was so literal.
