Well, the circumstances around this post definitely aren't quite what I imagined them to be a few hours ago
But you all know that I've always done things on my own terms, so if I get warned for this so be it but you guys deserve this. I'd just like to say that hosting season six was the best thing I've done on ATRL. Even better than playing the game possibly because I got to help 3 dozen real people progress their songwriting skills. That's why this is undoubtedly the best game on this site. It has real application and can make a real difference in someone's life. You're not playing mini games or trying to persuade online avatars that your gif is superior to someone else's; you're writing for yourself and possibly for someone else. I know it sounds stupid to say that a game on ATRL means a lot to someone, but I saw a few of you say it and I completely agree. Season five honed my songwriting skills more than anything else in the years I've been writing. And making connections with other contestants and judged doesn't hurt either. I even made a remix with Hugamari of one of my songs I wrote for the finale recently!
And of course the contestants. Even with all the drama I still
you guys. MattyTacos, you've grown SO much this season. I mean you won the whole thing after all. But at the beginning of the game I could hardly imagine you going past round 4. You blew us away at the end and you deserved that win 100%. Sam, I know you feel neglected and I'm sorry for our fight but to be honest I was rooting on you to win. You were one of the most consistent players, and even though your pop songs weren't my style, they're better pop songs than anything I could ever write. Truth Teller, obviously you know I believe in you considering I gave you this next season to host I know you'll slay it. You were the most consistent player and the fact that you only ended up in 3rd is a travesty.
And of course I can't mention everyone, but I need to thank feelslikeadream and Hugamari for being the best, if not the most reliable, judges I could ask for. Scorpio, thanks for putting up with me, getting those rounds judged on short notice, and being so understanding. And of course the songs we created together between seasons 5 and 6 were amazing. ausdaniel, no matter how much these guys shaded you remember you had the highest ranked song of the season and you really showed growth. Element is bae as always, and no I didn't just rate you high because I like you. I was surprised at how much writing talent you have and in a good way. keshaspears, can't wait to see you in the top 2 this season. Cheetos, thanks for being our #1 supporter! Tymps, thanks for being the most active non player/judge and just slaying overall. I can't wait to see BlueM come back and redeem himself. He was definitely the contestant eliminated too early. And really everyone, whether there was drama or not, thank you for being part of the best part of ATRL, and I can't wait to see you all next season and compete against you guys.
