bc bey's first week sales had 2-3 days to chart and only on itunes

A lot of countries don't let you chart if you only release in 1 market on the first week. Germany for example.

Yes, I know, but the majority have a monday-sunday frame.
The bigger argument is by far the digital aspect. Not many people buy digital albums outside the US and the UK.

Most countries tracking weeks start on either Thursday or Friday. The 2-3 days to chart only applies to the US/Canada/UK.
