OMG so story time.
So Ryan Tedder (basically the guy with the perfect career for a songwriter, top 2's himself plus dozens of hits for others) grew up in my city. And I was talking to my English teacher today and apparently she was friends with him in high school, which is amazing. She said they still talk and we talked for like 10 minutes about how everyone knew he would make it big, how he almost quit music to work for his aunt, and all this amazing stuff I never knew about him. It was just a really cool motivating experience for a songwriter to hear about one of the most successful songwriters of all time.

Ryan's work is great, writing, production and the band.

Ryan is great. I love his work and sometimes I'm inspired by his songs

That's so cool! Ryan is such a great person & song writer
Can you ask her to ask him why the OneRepublic albums slay but then when he works with other artists he makes the worst songs on their CD (i.e. Rumour Has It is the worst song on 21, I Know Places and Welcome to NY are the worst songs on 1989, etc.)?

I agree with WTNY but I Know Places is one of the best songs in 1989.
One of his best songs is Ghost by Ella Henderson, you guys should listen to it

Rumour Has It is like the only Adele song I still use, and I Know Places is easily Top 3 on 1989.
Also slay @ Betty Who being in your sig! What are you favourite tracks of hers? Mine are High Society, Glory Days, All Of You, Runaways and Somebody Loves You.

High Society and Somebody Loves You are absolutely PERFECT pop songs I also loooooooove Giving Me Away and Alone Again. The album tracks weren't as good as the EP songs to me, though I like A Night To Remember and Glory Days (and sometimes Dreaming About You).

I agree completely. The EPs were solid. You're In Love is also really nice. Whereas there was probably a bit too much filler on the album for my liking, it suffered from having some old EP tracks added and All Of You and then the "new" songs were all kind of slower and not as interesting (besides Glory Days). I do like A Night To Remember and Dreaming About You too though.

So we're like going to be in four-person writing camps? Sounds fun! Let the #R8 experience begin!
No, we're not doing writing camps
I don't think I have any other rounds planned for you to collaborate with other players, but then again I only have a few planned for sure
I might have persuaded one of the dropouts to submit though
