do you feel that ? there isn't enough of freedom of speech in this forum, the mods close this thread that thread that they personally feel offensive. Even the world ouside this forum has more freedom, it's where you could ask a question and no one imposes silence on your mouth.
The only people who complain about the rules here are those who want to say venomous things about a person/artist they don't like and get butt-hurt when they're warned for it.
If that's the case, you can go to SYG...but you can get warned there, too. That's when you realize you should probably tone down the death threats/racism/sexism or whatever it is people get managed to get warned for in there. Basically, getting warned in SYG means you're just a bit too bothered by someone/thing.

It's sex-related, and the advertisers don't want that here. The money made from ads is needed to keep this site working (and also for the upgrade presumably), so that's why.
If you really want to be mad at someone for the "strict" nature of this site, it'd be them.
Not really. If a user opens a thread with the intent to piss off a certain fanbase or with any other malintent (and it's obvious when they are), then they deserve to have their thread closed. Simple as that.
It's a forum. Forums need rules to keep everyone in line and as peaceful as possible. The fact that you're able to be on the internet is more damn freedom than some people in the world have, so let's not complain about being stifled on an internet forum of all places.
