MARYLAND(WTTG)--A night of drinks and fun turned into a horrible nightmare for a Maryland woman. According to court documents from Montgomery County District Court, she discovered the man she had unprotected sex with was HIV-positive, knew about it and didn't tell her.

Daniel Cleaves, 28, is now facing charges for knowingly having and attempting to transfer HIV to the victim.

According to the victim's statement to police, she met Cleaves at a bar in downtown Bethesda, then they went home and spent three days together having unprotected sex. She claims Cleaves never offered or asked to use a condom.

The victim says she found medical tests in Cleaves' backpack that he was HIV-positive.

Well that's terrible. She should have used condoms though, you have to take care of yourself. Don't depend your health on some random.

That's horrible, but you don't just go home and have unprotected sex with a stranger from a bar...

Charge him. If you have something contagious and fail to mention it to others, you should be held responsible for the consequences of them potentially catching this illness. It's some kind of biological attack.

Still, the man needs to realize HIV is not a joke, and transmitting the disease to someone else like that, changes the life of that person forever.
