That happens every day tho. And it's awful.

The man is an asshole, but she deliberately had sex with him without condom despite knowing the possible consequences, so the case should be dismissed.

It her fault though.

It probably happens quite often, but I think probably 99% of the time it's kept secret (either the person who gets the STD doesn't want to go public as then everybody else will know they've got an STD, or the person who gave the STD pretends they didn't know). In this case the guy can't pretend he didn't know as he's got positive tests on him.

I'm a bit shocked that someone would meet someone at a bar and spend THREE whole days with them though lol.

I don't understand why the HIV+ guy wouldn't use a condom. She could give him a different STD. They are both at risk here...especially him with HIV and a compromised immune system. People need to take the pre cautions. If these people are having unprotected sex like this, how many others are there? She could get it from someone who doesn't know they have HIV or worse she could get pregnant from a stranger with HIV or any other STD who doesn't know they had said STD. Ewwwww. At some point you have to put the responsibility on the individual for their own health. The fact of the matter is that if this woman is going unprotected with this guy then there are probably many many others she is doing the same thing with.

I don't expect someone to volunteer STD information after just meeting. Its not logical. That is why there are condoms and PREP. If you know how PREP works then you know that it blocks the receptors on the whit blood cells.

He's a douche for omitting his condition because being fearful of rejection shouldn't be reason enough to make him do this (and she could have some other STD he would catch eventually), but she's an idiot for having agreed to have unprotected sex with someone she just met? It's his fault, but it's also her fault.
Notice that it wasn't gay sex, otherwise the article would stereotype everything!

She knows damn well there's a risk of getting HIV having unprotected sex.
