Since Gaga was always a favorite here to perform @ the Super Bowl, how do u guys feel about Katy doing it first? Not being shady btw, it's a legit question.

Well considering Katy has been able to keep a career for more than 4 years without being shunned by the general public, I don't find it surprising at all. Katy has always played it safe, Gaga takes risks so 'merica is obviously gonna stan 4 the basic

I'm not surprised, she is one of the biggest pop stars out there and the GP loves her.

I am not sure if she can pull it off as well as others can though. The Superbowl halftime show takes a killer performer and Katy really isn't the best performer. Hopefully, if she rehearses it a ton and makes sure she gets everything down, she does a good job, because she probably can if she practices enough. She's just kind of hit or miss when she does big performances......for example, she did very well at the Grammys this year, but badly at the BBMA's last year.

I figured it would happen. I don't mind, though. Katy and Gaga both deserve it, and I'm sure Gaga will get her turn eventually.

Excuse me? Gaga's latest era has all been a failed attempt to re-capture the magic that made her a star in the first place, so don't go on about how she "takes risks." Maybe in 2011, but that time has passed. America doesn't stan for the basic; they left it in the past along with her relevance, success, and 95% of her fan base.

I'm happy for her if she does it. She had the stage presence, the hits, and the ability to put on a great show.

It's fitting for Katy to do the superbowl now as opposed to years down the line, cause people won't remember her years from now. That's no shade towards her. In 10 years people will still remember some of her hits, but they won't care about her as a star or a performer any more, so it wouldn't work.

If Gaga can get her **** together and come back, she can do the superbowl down the line as a proper legend.
