My field of work in Human Resources, I'm easily behind in pay scale to my male counterparts. Fighting the "Good Ol' Boy System" is tough, especially in the south (at least drawing from my own personal experience).

This is the 21st century, there are plenty of women paying for men. Hell, I was the breadwinner in my relationship till my man finished law school last spring. There are plenty of cases where women who were the breadwinners of the family, expected to pay alimony checks to allow their ex to continue the life style they grew accustom to.

In the sense of the traditional, boy pays for dates and showers their girl with gifts from their dime, I think that's where you're coming from when making such a statement correct? It's a societal norm that's been embedded into some. That behavior has been deemed as a male being "gentlemanly." Times are changing and there are plenty cases of women supporting men and living off their earnings.

the republican part of congress has become really ridiculous. i swear they're not even reading these bills before every one of them rejects them because they associate it with democrats. actually, democrats are kinda doing that too, but not as badly as the republican side is. it's stupid and has led to a place where hardly anything can get done.

Yes, it's not actually Republicans who are the problem, it's the entire idea of a party system tbh. I wish the party system was abolished so we could all look at candidates based on their values rather than parties, but the two-party system is too integrated with our government that it would require a revolution; a constitutional amendment wouldn't even be thought of since both Congress and the states want to keep the status quo.

At least Democrats aren't far to the left like Republicans are. The Republican Party is essentially the Tea Party now
