Why did MTV screw Britney over with the Vanguard Award?
How come Britney had a bunch of child dancers perform her songs, and then have Gaga in drag do a ridiculous skit acting a fool which made Britney awkward
and then she had to introduce Beyonce on her own damn tribute.
Is this all because Britney was too lazy to perform in her ceremony?
Britney absolutely loved her tribute though; she thought it was adorable and you could tell by her reactions during the performance that she was really enjoying it. She loved seeing the younger generation embrace her music. Not sure what was up with Gaga and Beyoncé though- guess it was just convenient.
What else could they have done? Britney obviously didnt want to perform herself. What they did her wrong, is her not gettin a proper speech, i mean introducing Beyonce in her speech, and having like 3 seconds to say something herslef about the award she just won. a mess!
MTV had to work with what was given to them. Britney was not going to be performing, so they had to relegate it to this quick, rushed dance routine, and then have Britney's speech lead to an actual memorable performance by Beyonce + Blue Ivy. It could have been a memorable performance, if Britney had decided to do it and step her game up.
They asked her I know they did... her people probably told Britney NOT to do it so that's what I'm gonna go with.
But tbh I do think Britney should have atleast did a cute two step or SOMETHING I was like tf is this then GAGA was acting so weird and wasn't going by the teleprompter so Britney was like

There's no one to blame but Britney. If she could still perform she would've had a 15 minute performance like the other vanguard winners. No one wants to see her do this for 15 minutes.
They were trying to be sly and get back at her for not performing. Still got them their highest viewed show ever w/o performing herself. So glad brit's done with them. The kid/bey and gaga tribute was cute tho.

They def did her dirty (again), but it didn't help that she didn't perform. Gaga's "tribute" speech was a mess tho. She took too much of Brit's moment especially with the trying to kiss her thing. Brit's lip was quivering from the awkwardness

Actually Beyoncé did walk the red carpet, and she stopped to greet the fans and do interviews. Do your homework before spewing false info.
