Because non-skinny people were made out to be worthless by the media for so long. I think it's right that non-skinny people should be embraced in the media, but I don't think it's right that skinny people should be villainised. Nobody should be criticized or judged because of their body, whether skinny or non-skinny!

Ignorance and double standards. Offending skinny people is just as offensive as offending fat people. Some fat people are not the cause of their weight and that's just the same with skinny people. One just not decide whether to be like it was born, and just as we have to accept ourselves, others must. The ones who don't are just plain dumb.

This is true. But if a song (AATB, Anaconda) makes you hate how thin you are, I think you really need to work on your self-esteem.

I've noticed it has became the norm to be not skinny now days but I think people are taking the wrong approach to it as they are sort of bullying the skinnier people whilst trying to get something recognised
