I used to think that such an idea would be good for ATRL (as it is, most forums have a very low tolerance and ban permaban people without much mercy), but these days I feel otherwise.
When you consider the fact that many of our members are young kids who are still maturing, and who need this sort of outlet to discuss pop matters and other things that affect their young lives, I think the 30-90 day bans are fine enough. Otherwise we'd either lose some of the coolest members (and perhaps end up with a bunch of dupes).
