dont you hate those stupid little thirteen years olds who say **** like "I was born in the wrong generation" and "I have lost all faith in humanity" over **** like music videos
Yes because you know if you gave them a walkman they wouldn't even be able to play a tape and would ask for their iPhone back. they just want to look cool tbh
YES. Especially when it's people in minority groups. Why would anybody want to be gay or black in the 50s? Really ignorant and minimizes the struggles of the time. There's more to an era than a "vintage" look or sound.
As time passes our mind tends to block out what we hated for what we loved.
Example, a grunge fan will see music of the early 90's as AMAZING because he remembers it through Nirvana,
Alice n chains etc. forgetting at the time artists like Mariah, Madonna, Janet, Boyz 2 men etc. (genres they hate) were actually ruling the charts then too.
In 20 years rock fans might remember the 10's as Artic monkeys, the strokes, coldplay etc. forgetting that Rihanna, Katy perry, Bruno, Taylor etc. were ruling the charts then even more so.

!! Like if y'all want to go back in time to when it was significantly more racist, sexist, homophobic and there was lower level technology than go for it but I'm fine staying right where I am

Are you talking about that tweet made by a "Black teens" account about wanting to be in the 50s?
