Just because the release strategy was bad doesn't change the fact it was an album.

Besides, you can't say that's why sales weren't reported. At the very least it was a compilation album, and they count on the Billboard charts

It's hard to say. He would have to make a drastic change to his image or comeback with a huge single/performance. It's not that hard though because he still has a decent sized fanbase. The problem with him is that he wasn't accepted by the adult general public to begin with, so there's no one really to "win back", he has to start over. If he would've won over the adults at the beginning, there would be no problem. Take MJ for example, his personal life was a complete mess, but it never affected his power in music.

if it counted on the Billboard charts, it would've charted, but BB reported that they didn't want to send the numbers in despite the fact that it debuted with over 100k which would've earned it a spot in the top 5....

Do you all wonder WHY he is taking sooooo long to release music? It's because he knows he is set up for failure. Regardless if the album turns out decent, the critics will tear it to shreds, and I don't know anyone who would think it's even remotely cool to be bopping to Justin a Bieber music anymore. He's finished, but we must wait for this era to come upon us for his career to finally be buried
