For one, it is disrespectful to the KING OF POP. The person who set a stepping stone for ANYTHING pop. Secondly, death is never something to joke about. ESPECIALLY in these circumstances.

I am not going to force any of you to feel the way I feel, but when we allow and accept this, we basically encourage it.

Would it be ok if they joked about Aaliyah's death? NO.
What if your fave died due to unfortunate circumstances, would you appreciate people making light of their death? NO

The post did not dispute that. It was simply referring to the nature of the line and it's offensive nature of making light of the situation. Even with addiction, no one deserves to die.

Exactly. If anything, Nicki's bringing awareness, because I know a lot of people who don't actually know or believe Michael was murdered. And mentioning something in rap doesn't mean you're making light of it. There was no joke, no satire in the line. Let's not talk about rap if we don't understand it.
