No, not at all. Beyoncé is first and foremost known for being a singer - an artist, a musician, who has blessed so many people with her discography. She's not like others who have had to carve their career out of many PR stunts.
I think Beyonce as an artist is bigger than her music. Which is why it made sense for her to self-title her latest album. No song or album is bigger than her as a person. Which is a good thing. It means nothing she's ever done has overshadowed her as an artist. It's the same for Rihanna, Madonna etc.
Then you have other acts that make music that overshadows the artist. Beyonce just isn't one of those stars.
She has plenty of hits to her name, but 'Beyonce' is still the biggest brand. Whereas songs like "Tik Tok" or "Timber" are more notable than "Ke$ha" the artist by the GP (even though she's my fave, it's true).
Getting hit singles in 2014 does not mean the GP is interested in you musically. Especially when those hit singles are some of the most bubblegum things ever.
