There's this trend going on for a while now blaming and hating white people for anything

theres some funny posts...like someone posted a vid of a girl driving and she made her boyfrind drive once she took her hands off of the steering wheel and it caption said "white people"

while it was dangerous...it was funny.


then there's a post I saw shaming white people who adopt different colored race babies...which was stupid.


then there was another post about this black girl (Elementary School) having to get a different hair style because the School district (or people..whatever) didn't allow that hair style and immediately there was so many posts/comments saying "WHITE PEOPLE RUIN EVERYTHING" until someone found out that the people who banned the hairstyle were black people of the school board (or district...whatever)


as a GAY POC i feel flattered but at the same time annoyed at the constant exaggeration and generalization towards white people.


this post made no sense upside down than it did right side up.

Save the oppressed white tumblr users

Because why wouldn't you hate people who enslaved and/or mistreated your ancestors, stereotype you, dehumanize you in the media, discriminate against you, ostracize you, etc and then, despite all of this going on NOW and affecting your life NOW, turn around and ask you, confused, "why do you hate me??" and try to disassociate themselves from social constructs, historical circumstances and systems of power in society that constantly benefit them and oppress you and which they do not try to change at all.

It's not really fair to blame the entirety of white people for that. Most don't even live in the US

that means i would have to hate Gaga, Kerli, Iggy, My Chemical Romance, Greenday, Evanescence, Sailor Moon...no thank you

Because they LOVE being victims. Like it's so weird. Even the white people who aren't LGBT or racially oppressed will find ways to victimize themselves & feel special (I'm a 'demi-sapiosexual two-spirited otherkin & my pronouns are cats/catself!!!). And of course every wannabe victim needs their villain, so white people & straights take the heat.

They don't hate white people as individuals.

They just hate that social constructs in the Western world favour white people, and it's easier to get ahead in life if you're white.

They hate everyone. They try to make everything about turning into a victim, like that thread yesterday about doctors needing to check their thin privilege for telling them to make healthy choices.

Are you trying to say gay people are not oppressed by straight people? Are you trying to say people of colour aren't oppressed by white people?
