I wasn't an employee, I was a customer and got heat from another customer. I was at the counter putting my groceries onto the conveyor belt when this overly large woman walked up behind, scoffed and said why are you only buying fruit and vegetables? You're too thin, get some fat on those bones and you won't look so ill. I turned around, looked in her trolley and said why are you only buying processed junk and chocolate, you're fat enough.


She was horrified. Why do people think it's okay to thin shame, but all sorts of wrong to fat shame? Bitch get back in the paddock

Some white guy told a hispanic customer needed to go back to Mexico and I told him not to say rude things about him or he would be banned from the store and the hispanic guy told me he could fend for himself and was sick of white people thinking they need to save other racist because of their white guilt.

I work at a perfume store, so i get LOTS of people shading my fave. "Ew..I don't want a perfume from that crazy, hairless *****"... I also get the people that go: "Is anyone going to help me?!" when the store is full.

I got yelled at 4 separate times on Sunday during a 12 hour shift (8-8 Open-Close)

I won't type them all out but the first one I was at the returns desk and a guy was returning a box of nails because it was extra. So I process it and I put the amount on a store credit. I hand the original receipt, the return receipt and the store credit to him and he's like 'I want it on my card' and I say 'You bought it with a store credit, so I can only put it back on a store credit.' After a 2 minute back-and-forth about it, I tell him 'You can have the store credit or you can have the nails back. A credit is all I can do, so take it or leave it.' Then he screams 'Give me the ****ing credit you little sh*t' and I hand it to him with the biggest smile on my face and tell him 'Have a great day!' I hate people

Was it rude of me to step in? I felt like it would be wrong not to say something

I'm skinny too don't worry. People don't understand it's just as hard for us to gain weight as it is for others to lose

Because it's only okay to hate things others can be jealous of. No one is jealous of someone being fat, but fat people sure as hell are jealous of skinny people

I used to work at McDonalds and a guy bought a breakfast biscuit & asked for no sauce on it. He came in during dinner shift & bitched me out because it had sauce on it & told me he was going to sue McDonalds because he 'felt weak' all day during work and he went on & on & on about how he was going to sue & make sure I was going to loose my job, even though I wasn't even working during breakfast. This guy was so mad that his face was red and sweaty, I thought he was going to kill us! The manager called the cops but before they got there he ran out the store laughing saying he was just ****ing with us.

Lawd Jesus I work at Dunkin donuts and baskin robins and I get heat EVERY day from customers about how we don't have the donuts they want or the ice cream they want, meanwhile they're all close to morbidly obese and I'm chocking back my thoughts on how they really don't need the food. I have endless stories of rude customers but I'd rather just not even.

I worked at a call center dealing with Target's customers and there was this rude guy who kept swearing at me because his Target card got upgraded into a Target Visa card and he didn't want it because he already had a Visa. To sum up I quit after that.

This was back when I was working retail.

During the beginning of 2012, certain cities in California enacted this "bring-your-own-bag" policy where the cities would start charging .10 cents (at the time) for shopping bags in order to get people to start bringing/buying re-usable bags from home. The town that I worked in at the time decided to follow this policy, and started telling stores to charge for shopping bags in July. Now, of course some people were bewildered at the thought of paying for a shopping bag, but most didn't make a big fuss other than the initial shock. They would either pay the .10 or take their items with them in their hand (legit saw a lady stuff her sweater with our products ) - no big deal.

Until one day, this lady comes up to pay for her items. She was nice enough... until I let her know about this policy. So of course she starts going off about how it's ridiculous and blah blah blah. I basically just apologize and let her know that it's the city that's charging her - not us. It didn't matter to her - she was still livid. She ended up buying a bag and leaving the store. It was really funny... until she came back in.

The bitch wanted to return the bag she just bought. I looked at her like "really bitch...?" but I just wanted her to leave, so I did the return like normal. But of course she can't keep her frustrations to herself and starts going off still. Then she starts going off on my supervisor, which my supervisor did not take so kindly. She legit told the customer to fight her. So I did the return as quickly as I could so that the problem wouldn't escalate any further.

The lady left before my supervisor got really heated. All over a stupid .10 charge.
