I thought I'd make a thread where people can talk about their like uhmm experiences or random things christians talk about.
( sorry I'm not good at making OP's interesting)
Since religious threads tend to turn into a mess I suggest christians or non-christians to make a separate thread if they feel like arguing. This thread is for INTRAreligious talk and not INTERreligious talk.
Well, I'm a Roman Catholic, but right now I'm not really the best at it lol. I love science and it sometimes clashes with my belief in a God. I'm glad you opened this thread and hope it stays open so that we who believe have more time to discuss this subject without trolls invading it.

Trolls will invade from time to time but it is crucial not to reply to them ; a report is sufficient.
Dont worry if you have doubts. It means you think critically which is a good sign
I've been wanting to post a little research I did. A lot of members here like to accuse religion of being against science, but that is just not the case. For instance a few months ago scientists discovered further proof that the Big Bang Theory is true and members on this forum were mocking Christians and wondering what they will do now, BUT as a matter of fact, it was a Catholic priest, scientist and astronomer who proposed the Big Bang Theory. His name was Father Georges Lemaître. He was good friends with Einstein and Einstein initially didn't believe in his theory, but later came to support him as well as the rest of the scientific community. I find it absurd how the scientific community, especially the atheists try to hide this fact.

The first time the Big Bang theory was proposed was actually by a 13th century Jewish scholar using solely the Hebrew translation of the first 6 passages of the book of Genesis. His name was Nachmanides
I hope the violence ends so that no palestinian or israeli suffers anymore.
Or like Gaga would say " Why can't we just put on a smile and buzz buzz buzz buzz we all might be sick ... "
My parents and I always get in to arguments over my views. They believe in his existence and don't need proof; I'm the other way around. I'm really open to the possibility of his existence, but at the same time I believe in the scientific method and you can't say with 100% assurance he exists without legitimate proof. But, I also believe that nothing can exist or be without something choosing its existence. Like a cup can not exist on top of a table without me choosing to put it on top of a table. A cup just doesn't appear on top of a table on its own. So, beyond our universe there might be something that chose the existence of this universe.

Hmm, I have to read about him cause I've never heard of him, but I'm talking about the modern Big Bang theory and more specifically that the universe is expanding. Einstein believed that the universe was constant; it didn't change. This is why he refused to support Lemaitre's theory.
the mods are literally the pits. they make this entire place such a joke I swear. wouldn't be surprised if they closed this thread because they literally have nothing better to do.
Anyway, love this thread. Will support it. Carry on.
