So what do you read more often : new testament or old testament?

I read NT more often. Revelations is life.

New Testament, I guess because Jesus is just so intriguing. I find it fascinating how one man who lived and preached for such a short period of time was able to form the biggest and most lasting religions in history.

I prefer the gospels more. I find the revelation confusing tbh.

Reading that thread about whether you can be a gay and Christian, and it's kinda sad. They thoroughly haven't a clue about what Jesus is about.

Dont gays go to hell if they dont repent though? Just like in other monotheistic religions?

Well, first of all I don't necessarily believe in hell. I sorta believe in what my religion teaches us about what happens if we don't accept God. It's not that God punishes us and sends us to some fire pit to suffer and all that; it's more about us refusing his love for us his creation, and then being away from his love when we cease to exist. Sort of like refusing a boyfriend that loves you and you keep acting up and cheating on him and all that stuff then he just leaves you to be and then you realize you messed up and now you're alone and he's gone but you can't do anything about it. That agony of being without love is my interpretation of "hell" after existence.

Anyways, my religion doesn't tells us we're going to hell just because one is gay. Besides, no one is perfect so what matters is your overall relationship with God and what is true in your heart that counts.

I'm going to leave Fr. Barron's youtube channel. He's a very smart man. I love his videos and he speaks about mainstream issues.

I took a class called Bible last semester( for a humanities credit) but lawd the stuff I learned.
