Artists that should have a crossover hit in the US
Robyn,All Saints,James Blunt,S Club 7,Kylie Minogue, & now M.I.A all had that 1 song that became a crossover hit in the US, but they are alot of more artists out there that did not acheive that ...yet.
which artists do you think deserve a crossover hit in the US?
Robyn, Kylie, and M.I.A. have had crossover hits here before. M.I.A. isn't really meant to be a mainstream artist which makes Paper Planes such a huge accomplishment, but for the indie crowd she's still really popular here. Over the summer I heard Boyz playing in the Macy's department store of all places.
As for the unsuccessful ones...I strongly dislike Utada's music but I'd at least like to see an Asian singer succeed in the American market. As long as she stops singing lyrics like "easy breezy Japanese-y".
I'd like to see Within Temptation make it huge. other than that, I'm not really into non-american artists, really (aside from all those cheesy symphonic metal bands )
US sucks.
