So it has just been announced that WB plans to re-release TDK, hoping to get some Oscar nominations for the movie. WB is in talks to return it to the IMAX screen, but it is not certain if it will be released to regular movie theaters.

But get this (Stupid move for WB) The DVD is set to be released in December. So a month after the DVD is going to come out, the movie will be re-released in theaters.

Probably an attempt to catch Titanic. It's not such a stupid move because they have a huge base of followers that will pack the theaters.

They would be milking the Heath Ledger card, but if they do a re-release it's almost certain they could clench the top spot. Titanic has been in the movie theaters for an unusual length of time to get 600m, while TDK has gone 500m+ in a fraction of that time.

Anthony, shut the **** up you bandwagon jumper. Titanic is a timeless classic. The Dark Knight is NOT. If they want to re-release something, they should go with Kill Bill. Now that's a movie with a story, action and plot to remember.
