mostly of atrl stans for success, simple as that, once the artist starts flopping, they will jump ship.

At the same time people say people bandwagon when unknown artists first get attention. They didn't know about them before, and their success widened their fan base, can't really call that "bandwagoning" imo. People are too eager to bring that card out.

They don't bandwagon, believe it or not that success = more recognition which makes people find out about the person.

I found out about Kacey Musgraves when she won her Grammy's, I didn't become a fan because she got them I became a fan because her music is really cool and interesting.

Same goes to Gaga, I didn't become a fan until Paparazzi at the VMA's, it was because I saw what she can do and how good she is not because she was the hottest thing in music.

Cause it's fun.

Because they are fickle and can't commit to anything. When things are good, they stick around. When things get rough, they suddenly leave. I would hate to be in a relationship with any of these bandwagoners. They abandon what they "love" so easily.

point them out and ask

I don't think it's always bandwagoning. A lot of the people that become fans of an artist when they become successful simply didn't know them beforehand.

Fear of missing out.

A lot of atrl are very young and therefore easily impressionable.

a lot of people get the term bandwagon confused tbh. when an artist gets popular, people will obviously become fans, and that isnt bandwagoning. when an artist that was popular is no longer popular/is replaced, they will drop the artist, and that is what bandwagoning is.

It's like when people IRL start liking something just because everybody else does, they want to be popular. Also seeing as how ATRL is all about stan wars, people want as much bragging rights as possible to hold over all the other fanbases. Well my fave has a number one currently, my fave just won a bunch of grammys, my faves album sold this much, blah blah blah.

...because people like to feel like they are a part of something bigger than themselves.

I just think they get bored, and they're easily impressionable, I really don't know. I'm in a relationship with a heavy ((bandwagoner)) and he can't even explain it

1) you're using experiences on ATRL, which is undoubtedly true for a lot of stans

2) if anything it's a bandwagon to claim that the artist's success is mostly bandwagon. their recent success and popularity isn't necessarily caused by a bandwagon, if the GP is attracted then that means they clearly did something right commercially and they're getting people interested in what they have to offer.

but as far as ATRL's concerned, if it's popular it's a bandwagon
