No, I'm not talking about it being used like 'omg you like lady gaga? you're a ******" that's obviously offensive, I'm talking about hearing straights using the f-word in a friendly manner among each other and not really meaning to be offensive, just taking the piss out of friends.

am personally not offended whatsoever. I use it with my friends and hear people call each other it all the time. Straight guys don't really think about the meaning when using it, they just do it. It's just like any other offensive 'idiot, dumb ass, etc' term to them. Are gays just looking to much into it?

I'm chatting a guy and he keeps using the f word. I'm trying to not let it irk me, but he uses it in negative meanings and I really feel like that's some sort of self deprecation. Like calling guys it, calling ME it (as a joke but like, I don't know you like that yet...)

At the same time however, he told me he isn't offended by effeminate gay guys. So I'm confused. Maybe he's confused
