Jonah Hill got fed up with a photographer's comments about his outfit, and lashed out by hurling a gay slur at him, yelling ... "Suck my d***, you f*****!"
"I'm upset, because, from the day I was born, and publicly, I've been a gay rights activist," he told the radio host in an audio clip.
To "give it some context, not excusing what I said in any way, this person had been following me around all day, had been saying hurtful things about my family, really hurtful thing about me personally, and I played into exactly what he wanted and lost my cool," he explained of the paparazzo.
"And in that moment, I said a disgusting word, that does not at all reflect how I feel about any group of people," he continued.
I understand saying **** in the heat of the moment..but if you're going to use a gay slur like that, then you most likely do it off camera too. I don't think an apology is going to make it all go away..
Seeing as how this is the first time he's been seen saying something like this I'm willing to let it go as a one off thing but I just don't understand how you can be so pro-gay rights and say something like that. I mean the F word doesn't just slip out of your mouth randomly
I don't like it's usage, as it only puts out there that being gay is a negative connontation.
But it's the intent, not content. He said it to a scum sucking paparazzi, who was probably working his last nerve. He didn't say it to an innocent gay couple walking past him
People get bent out of shape too easily. Everyone is human and everyone makes mistakes. He has sent out an apology instantly and that says more of his moral compass than his usage of ******
the excuse that he got so emotional and pissed thats hwy he called him that is terrible for a self proclaimed LGBT activist because it further shows how he considers the word F as terrible or playing on someones sexual orientation as hurtful and embarrassing. worthy enough of a comeback.
Not good enough. I don't see how a genuine supporter of LGBT would ever use those words, no matter how tense a situation is. If these hateful feelings weren't ingrained in his mind there'd be no reason for them to be externalised in a moment where his guard is down.
